A quarter of the Museumplein, October 2 2004

A view at the Amsterdam demo from the Van Gogh museum.

I just wanted to show a picture of the demo which sets our politics on fire. Yesterday a director of an employers organization (FME) said that he already talked with the vice minister president, mr Zalm (his weblog is only in Dutch I think).
But Zalm didn't give in. So the FME man should try again. Also the pressure to resign is put on the minister who is mainly responsible for the tripartite talks (between state, employers and employees) not going on.
So there will be more action. Thursday Oct.14 all public travel services (Busses, trains, trams, metro) will be down, a national strike against the plans which are reality according to the ministers. As if we don't have a dual political system.
the dude was here too
